Aboriginal Corroboree Ceremony
Year 2 have learnt about the importance of 'Dreamtime' stories to Aboriginal Australians and how they are recreated through dance, art and music. They are performed through dance in special Corroboree ceremonies and aboriginal children can learn about these stories and their culture's history. The children created their own dance in the Forest School to tell the Dreamtime story of "How Birds Got Their Colours". We even had some musicians with a "stick" didgeridoo!
