Baking Bread
Using our focus text of "The Little Red Hen," the children learned about the journey of wheat to flour. They made their own bread roll, enjoying kneading the dough to activate the yeast and make the bread 'grow.' When all of the bread rolls were baked in the afternoon, the children enjoyed a yummy afternoon snack choosing their favourite toppings to spread on their roll.
