The children have been completely immersed in our new topic, learning all about the first moon walk and what it is like to be an astronaut on an expedition to space.  We have looked at many non-fiction books and learned some interesting facts about the solar system. The children helped to build a large rocket for the role play space station, constructed mini rockets for the small world area, labelled a rocket and created a list of items (and people) they would take to space like Baby Bear in the story "Whatever Next."
