Eco School Committee 2019

Welcome to our school Eco-Committee page!

We are the Eco Warriors and we are working hard to make our school greener.

Please check our Eco page regularly for updates.

SPRING TERM

We have designed our Eco Code and it is up around the school. We are beginning to complete the actions on our action plan and our focus at the moment is on waste.  We have been making labels for all the bins.

We will also be sharing our developments with the whole school at our next assembly and we have just gained our Silver Award.

AUTUMN TERM

During the autumn term we completed our environmental review and we shared our findings with the whole school.  We used the information gained from the review to develop an action plan. At our Eco meeting we decided to focus our efforts on the areas of ENERGY, WASTE and BIODIVERSITY.

Here we are in action leading an assembly for each house.

After updating our Eco display board we completed our check list and gained our Eco Schools Bronze Award.  We were very proud of our achievement.

We also took part in Switch Off Fortnightly and we plan to continue switching off to save money for our school.

Eco School and Committee 2018

Welcome to our school Eco-Committee page!

We are the Eco Warriors and we are working to make our school greener.
Every term we share our ECO actions with the whole school community during house assembly.  It is a good way to share all the exciting things we are doing and encourage everyone to be Eco friendly.

SPRING TERM

We are expecting to have another busy term.  We will be reviewing our action plan at our next Eco meeting.

AUTUMN TERM

We have had a busy term.  We started off by completing an environmental review and this review helped to highlight our focus areas.  We have three focus areas and these are WATER, ENERGY and MARINE.

We have had three meetings this term and have already had some great ideas which we are implementing in school.  Our action plan is complete and we are now looking forward to becoming a greener school.

We have completed tap and water bottle surveys and have made posters for the learning environment.  We have even carried out interviews and  taken part in 'Switch Off Fortnight'.

Please check out our website page regularly to view our achievements.
