Eco Day - 5th October
On eco-day, we learnt a lot about litter and the amounts of it that are being thrown away. We did a search for cards around the school grounds and we found out on one of them that 1.4 million bananas are being thrown away every day in the UK!
In the afternoon, we learnt about smart-meters and how they can save money and energy. We made a poster about them and it explained a smart-meter to a young child, an adult and someone elderly. We carried on the theme of smart meters and worked out how much money Miss Martindale was using on energy every month and showed it on a human graph.
