On Wednesday 25th September, we went on an adventure with Year 5 to the Houses of Parliament.
After an early start at Watford Metropolitan line, we travelled into the city's centre. Squeezing like sardines, we just about fit onto the Jubilee line taking us straight to Westminster. A colossal thank you to Mr Sycamore and Transport for London for getting us there (and back) safely!
When we reached Westminster palace, the streets were lined with news cameras and picketers wanting their voices heard. It was the first day back for MPs after an interesting decision to suspend parliament. We had a tour of the Palace and were taken into the House of Commons and House of Lords before learning all about democracy in our country's history.
Please ask us about what we have learned!
