  • Year 2 visiting Windsor Castle

     Year 2 had a very exciting school trip to Windsor Castle on Thursday 21st March. They explored the State Rooms, had a tour of St George's Chapel and watched the Changing of the Guard. They even got to see the Royal Standard as King Charles arrived to Windsor Castle during out visit.

    The winner of the Masked Reader was…Mrs Blackburn. Well done St Paul’s as you guessed it.

  • Masked Reader runner-up

    So…we have our winner. 
    Today the runner- up was announced as Tortoise was unmasked and revealed to be…Mr Gunning! 
    That means that Sushi has won our Masked Reader 2024. But who is that behind the mask? All to be revealed tomorrow! 

  • Masked Reader Day 3

    Year 3 were right! Miss Knights was Globe as she was unmasked today! 
    Sushi and Tortoise are in the final for World Book Day tomorrow. Who will win? 
    We will all be cosying up in our PJs with our books. 
     

  • Masked Reader Mania Day 2

    The mania is spreading around the school and favourite readers are emerging. Today duck was unmasked ! Who loves whistling Easter Jubilation, Christmas and carrots? 
    It was Mrs Derby behind the mask!

    The St Paul’s Masked Reader is back for 2024.

     

    Today the votes were counted after listening to all of the Masked Readers and we found out that it was…Mrs Paine behind the mask of Sunflower! We cannot wait to see who will win! Who’s that behind the mask? 

  • Year 1 enjoying the seaside

    Before half term year 1 had a UK and seaside theme day linked to their geography topic about The United Kingdom. 

    We brought bags packed with things we might need to take to the beach and went on a train journey around the UK. We explored famous landmarks, had visitors from Scotland and Northern Ireland, compared where we live to the coast, made scones to eat by the sea, made mini rockpools and built sandcastles among other things. It was a fantastic day!

  • Caribbean theme day

    We had a whole school Caribbean theme day on Friday 16th February.

    We all thoroughly enjoyed Caribbean theme day where not only did they get to explore the different Caribbean countries and complete lots of different tasks but they even got to have a go at playing a set of Steel Pans; a musical instrument that originates from Trinidad and Tobago. 

  • Earth and Beyond

    The children in Reception have been exploring Earth and Beyond at St Paul's. We used the story Whatever Next and Goodnight Spaceman to think about what it must be like to travel to space as an astronaut. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the Space Station role play area, creating rockets at the creative area and labelling rockets at the literacy area.

    We have explored non-fiction books and are finding out lots of interesting facts about each of the planets in the solar system.

  • Year 5 Residential

    Wed 10 Jan 2024 Mrs Derby

    Year 5s have already enjoyed their first activity. The weather is perfect and we’re looking forward to tonight’s campfire!
