PGL

Friday

The final day arrived! After a hearty breakfast and some time spent packing (separating wet clothes from dry was quite a challenge!), we had our remaining two activities:

Grp 1 - All Aboard and Orienteering

Grp 2 - All Aboard and Jacob's Ladder

Grp 2 - Orienteering and All Aboard

As it was 'Burger Friday' we all feasted on our final meal at PGL before certificates and prize-giving. A big thank you to Mrs Livermore-Hardy who bought every child an 'I love PGL' badge and to Mr Gunning for buying everyone a PGL wristband. I know these will be cherished.

What a fantastic week!

Thursday

Another fun packed day for Year 6! Full of energy after an early night we enjoyed a mainly dry morning. Baguettes and bowl after bowl of crisps set us up for the afternoon.

Grp 1 - Zip wire, Vertical challenge, Jacob's Ladder and Low ropes.

Grp 2 - Challenge course, Zip wire, Low ropes and Vertical challenge.

Grp 3 - Climbing, Zip wire, Vertical challenge and Low ropes.

We ended the evening with a disco and a giant game of Hider in the Dark.

Wednesday

Finally a day with no rain (mostly)!

More adventuring on land, sea and in the sky today topped off with a delicious choice of either chicken tikka masala or meatballs.

Grp 1 - Raft building, High ropes, Challenge course and Archery.

Grp 2 - Giant swing, Raft  building, Aeroball and Archery.

Grp 3 - Jacob's ladder, Challenge course, Giant swing and Archery.

To end our day, a very...unique catwalk show. Who knew the boys would be so good at contouring?

Tuesday

Despite the rain, the y6's smiles have not wavered and I couldn't be more proud of them all.

Here's what each group has been up to:

Grp 1 - Climbing, Survivor, Aeroball, Giant Swing

Grp 2 - Climbing, Survivor, High Ropes, Orienteering

Grp 3 - Survivor, High Ropes, Aeroball, Raft-building.

We ended our evening with a movie in our PJs.

Monday

After a lovely wave off at school we were on our way! The first hour whizzed by and we were at Grafham Water before we knew it. After lunch and a play in the park we were ready to set off again and arrived at PGL at 2pm.

Unpacked and tidied we took a tour of the site and indulged in our dinner: sausages and mash or chicken curry...delicious! To finish off the day - a campfire! Well done to our instructors Piers and Toby who managed to get the campfire started despite the drizzle.

Everyone showered (an impressive feat) and settled to some hot chocolate and a story. The teachers were even in bed before midnight!
