RAF Hendon Trip
On Wednesday 6th October, Year 6 took a trip to RAF Hendon. We took part in a 'Pilot Skills' workshop where we used coding to programme our own compasses. We then used these to navigate our way around a hanger - just like pilots would in their aircraft.
After lunch, we investigated planes and helicopters and saw how aircraft changed over WWI and WWII. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour from Mr Bunce who is an RAF expert and even answered some of our questions about what being a pilot is like.
Thank you Mr Bunce and Mrs Osborn who accompanied us on our trip.
