This week in RE we have been exploring the Jewish festival of Sukkot, exploring the story it is remembering and how the festival brings Jewish people together. We built a Sukkah in our outdoor area. This is a hut that is built during Sukkot to remember how Jewish people fled slavery in Egypt and lived in the desert for 40 days and nights. The children worked together to create the Sukkah and wrote on a star how it felt to do this. We then sat in the Sukkah to learn more about another Jewish festival, Passover.
