On Friday 10th January, each class in St. Paul's investigated beliefs and worship in different religions. Year 6 were lucky enough to learn about an unfamiliar religion: Buddhism.
After learning about the life of The Buddha, the four Noble Truths, the Eight fold Path and the celebration of Wesak, we created our own symbols of the religion based on what we had learned. Some involved the Cedar tree, others meditation and we even had our own interpretation of enlightenment.
See if you can spot the Y6's symbols on the display near Y5's classroom.
In the afternoon, we all joined in with Mrs Whitby and Mrs Butcher's spiritual dance session where we used giant flags to demonstrate that God's love encompasses all of us. It was a great day enjoyed by all!
