Year 2

Friday 3rd April 2020

Dear Year 2,

We hope you are all keeping safe and well with your families. It was lovely to see the wonderful video that you made last week. It brought great big smiles to all of the Year 2 team!

Well done for working so hard at home this week. We have been really pleased to read your stories, see your wonderful shape work in maths and we have learnt a lot by reading your rainforest facts! We hope you are enjoying being creative at home too!

I (Mrs Burrell) have been very busy with Heidi and Felix. We have made paper plate butterflies and milk bottle elephants. We also made a giant rainbow to stick in our window. Have you done this?

I (Mrs Wilson) have been doing lots of baking this week with Gracie and Isla. We have made bread and cakes! We have also enjoyed some long walks as part of our daily exercise.

I (Ms McGreal) have enjoyed emailing you all and setting your spellings . I can see that you are all working so hard.

Due to it being the Easter holidays there are no home learning tasks. Please enjoy this time, playing games, listening to music and being creative. Hopefully the sun will come back out too! However, there are some activities that you can do still on our school website. Mrs Wilson has set a design a parking poster challenge. You can find the information on the home learning page. There are also mindfulness colouring sheets and activities to do. On the PE page on the website there is a school’s partnership virtual challenge for you to try as well as Fitter Future. If you look on the Science page Mrs Burrell has set some science challenges and would love to see your results!

We miss you all very much and we’ll see you soon!
