UK and Seaside theme day
Before half term year 1 had a UK and seaside theme day linked to our geography topic about The United Kingdom. We brought bags packed with things we might need to take to the beach and went on a train journey around the UK. We explored famous landmarks, had visitors from Scotland and Northern Ireland, tasted some traditional Irish food, compared where we live to the coast, made scones to eat by the sea, made mini rockpools and built sandcastles among other things. It was a fantastic day!
