  • Easter Disco

Mon 27 Mar 2017 Miss Heraty
The Easter Disco was a huge success, with over 180 children attending from Nursery all the way to year 6. A big thank you to Mr Bradshaw for being our DJ and doing in all for free on a Friday evening, Thank you to the Friends and all the parents who helped run the event and to the teachers who spent their Friday night doing the conga! Dedication!
  • Hockey Tournament

Fri 24 Mar 2017 Miss Heraty
The Year 5 and 6 hockey team entered the local hockey competition, after a nervous start the team soon found their pace and won an incredible 5 games on the trot, will all children scoring goals. Over all we came third out of nine teams, a great effort. The children were great ambassadors of the school! Well Done!
  • St Paul's is 50!

Fri 10 Mar 2017 Mrs Winter

On Wednesday March 8th we had a wonderful service of celebration at school to commemorate 50 years of our Main Building and the change from The Old School House in the hamlet of Langleybury to the bigger building further up Langleybury Lane.

The Bishop of St Albans led our service, Rev James read a prayer, The School Council talked about memories of years gone by, The School Choir sang, The Worship Group led the school in prayer and the House and Vice House Captains made statements of commitment on behalf of the pupils.

We were joined by our Governors and past members of staff and pupils, which was lovely.

We all enjoyed a tasty lunch provided by Caterlink and even cut a special cake and sang " Happy Birthday!"

It was a lovely day with Year 6 showing our visitors around the school. The school looked splendid and there were many wonderful comments about the school and the service. The children were marvellous.

Thank you to all who contributed and here is to the next 50 years!

  • Sponsorship Success

Tue 07 Mar 2017 Mrs Winter

it gives me great delight to tell everyone that I have news on sponsorship. You may have seen in our St Paul's Business Club Magazine, or in the School Newsletter, that some very generous individuals and groups of people have sponsored particular resources for our school.

Firstly Mr Bradshaw and his IT company have sponsored our new School Football kit. The children look very smart and Mr Murton is extremely proud.

Then the Friends have paid for and sponsored our new set of class laptops and a new laptop trolley. This will all be set to use after the Easter holidays - we can't wait!

And then Mr Squires has sponsored our new Forest School equipment. This will go towards much needed equipment for nature studies and outdoor learning.

On behalf of the school and all of the children, I would like to say a massive thank you to these parents and the Friends, for all of their continued support. These resources are valuable and as budgets are squeezed, generous donations such as these are paramount.

If you would like to sponsor a resource, or help in some way, please come and speak to me.

  • Book Week

    Thu 02 Mar 2017

Book Week has begin in earnest with our Alice in Wonderland theme. The children have been watching the film, learning about the different characters and making jam tarts. The week ends tomorrow with a giant tea party for the whole school, culminating in cutting up our 50th Birthday Cake as well.

World Book day vouchers will be sent home and I look forward to seeing all of their costumes tomorrow.
