Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

Welcome back to the second half of the autumn term! This half term we have lots to look forward to in the lead up to Christmas.

In English we are focusing on our use of vocabulary. We'll be writing poems, survival guides and fables. In maths we are focusing on fractions and problem solving with all four operations. During our creative curriculum lessons we will be learning all about India. Our geography lessons will build up to us creating our own travel guides and in our art lessons we will be creating our own printing blocks and designs. We will also be learning about health and safety when preparing food. Our final products will be a variety of Indian foods which will taste and look delicious, I'm sure! Also, we have a fun run event coming up soon so please return permission slips for this.

See our curriculum newsletter below to find out more about what Year 5 will be doing this term and remember to keep visiting our website to see all of the things we have been learning about. Take a look at some of our learning  experiences so far.
