St Paul’s C of E VA Primary and Nursery School Nurturing a Love for Learning and Faith

Home Page

Year 3

Welcome back to Spring, part 2!

We have an exciting and action packed few weeks ahead of us! In English we are diving in to non-fiction first, and after much exploring we end with the children designing their own informative reports on a variety of subjects.

In maths we are fighting the ever scary beast known as fractions first. Adding, subtracting and equivalent fractions are a small taste of what the children will be smashing aside in their quest for knowledge.

In geography we are learning to read maps and follow directions, and in RE we are studying Salvation and discussing such questions as “Why do Christians call it ‘Good Friday’?”. This includes becoming a news reporter and interviewing people from the bible, which links in to our English non-fiction topic.

Remember-

PE lessons with Mr Bass will now take place on Tuesday afternoons.

Homework will be given out on a Thursday and be collected on Tuesday.

Spellings are now tested and handed out on a Monday.
