Welcome to Nursery!

Spring 2

This half term we will be thinking about the Easter story.

We will be making Easter gardens and thinking about why people put crosses in an Easter garden.

We will be thinking about the significance of the Cross; making stained glass crosses; crosses using duplo and junk modelling and trying hot cross buns.

We will continue to think about rhyme and listen for words which sound the same; generating our own rhyming strings.

We will continue to practise our fine motor skills and develop this to help with writing our names and writing labels.

We will develop our maths skills using counting songs and rhymes as well as using Numicon and other resources. We will match numerals with quantities and talk about one more/less than. We will look at amounts of objects and know when we have the same amount.

We continue to develop our PSED skills by listening to each other and following the class rules. We will be encouraged to work together and take it in turns.

What a busy half term!

As always, if you have any queries or concerns please pop in at midday or alternatively write a note in the Link Book.

Please ensure Link Books, forms and slips are handed to us as we don’t always check book bags daily.
