Spanish
Spanish
At St Paul's, we enjoy learning how to speak another language throughout our curriculum as well as discreet lessons.
We start introducing Spanish in Nursery and Reception in the form of songs and basic vocabulary.
In key stage 1, lessons are informal and focus on speaking and listening. The children will learn rhymes, numbers, greetings and some key vocabulary.
This is progressed to weekly lessons in key stage 2, following different units from 'Language Angels' which is taught by the class teacher.
We are aiming for Spanish to be spoken creatively and spontaneously by staff and children alike and we practise really hard to speak Spanish without an English accent!
Ask us and be amazed!
Any specialists out there would be more than welcome to come and share their expertise with our children.
Please just let us know.
