Helping at Home

One of the best ways to support your child in English is to encourage them to read. Reading with an adult, reading with a sibling or reading by themselves. Try poems, novels, recipe books, a diary, online reading or even a newspaper!

There are a range of websites offering free materials including:

https://www.vooks.com/ (animated stories - free trial for 1 year)

https://www.audible.co.uk/?source_code=M2M30DFT1Bk1210813 (free children's audiobooks)
