Spring 1

Welcome to the Year 6 Class Page. This page will share the different learning experiences that take place in our class throughout the year.

What an exciting start to 2025 we have!

Throughout this half term we will be learning about:

• Developing our formal writing style with a focus on persuasion in one-sided and balanced arguments
• Converting between fractions, decimals and percentages
• Investigating Areas of Outstanding National Beauty in the UK
• Honing our drawing and watercolour skills
• How the heart works (get ready for some dissecting)

and so many more interesting things!

Remember:

• PE is now on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons so please make sure you have your indoor and outdoor kits
• Spellings are set and tested every Monday
• Homework is set on a Thursday and is due in on a Tuesday
• A pair of trainers and wellies should be kept in school every day
• Library visits are on Thursdays
• Our parent surgery is a Thursday after school, please book a slot via the Link Book if you wish to discuss anything
