Welcome to the Year 6 Class Page. This page will share the different learning experiences that take place in our class throughout the year.

I hope you have all had a restful break over the summer holidays. I am really looking forward to seeing you all. We have many exciting learning opportunities planned throughout this half term. 

Throughout this half term we will be learning about …

• How to write poems inspired by Shakespeare as well as how to write quest stories and recounts in English 
• Place value and the formal written methods in Maths
• World War I and World War II in History
• Images of War in Art 
• Classification of living things in Science

and so many more interesting things!

Remember:

• PE is now on Thursday and Friday afternoons so please make sure you have your kit
• Spellings are set and tested every Monday
• Homework is set on a Thursday and is due in on a Tuesday
• A pair of trainers and wellies should be kept in school every day
• Our parent surgery is a Thursday after school, please book a slot via the Link Book if you wish to discuss anything
