Sikhism theme day
On RE Day we explored the Sikh religion, learning about Guru Nanak, the Guru Granth Sahib and the Gurdwara. Just like baby names are chosen from the Guru Granth Sahib, we picked a word from a book in our class and thought of names beginning with the same letter and what they mean. Someone in our class talked about how they celebrate a Sikh festival. We built our own gurdwaras and made flags with the Sikh symbol on. We also had a special visitor who talked about being a Sikh.
