Year 1 enjoying the seaside
Thu 29 Feb 2024Before half term year 1 had a UK and seaside theme day linked to their geography topic about The United Kingdom.
We brought bags packed with things we might need to take to the beach and went on a train journey around the UK. We explored famous landmarks, had visitors from Scotland and Northern Ireland, compared where we live to the coast, made scones to eat by the sea, made mini rockpools and built sandcastles among other things. It was a fantastic day!

Earth and Beyond
Tue 06 Feb 2024The children in Reception have been exploring Earth and Beyond at St Paul's. We used the story Whatever Next and Goodnight Spaceman to think about what it must be like to travel to space as an astronaut. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the Space Station role play area, creating rockets at the creative area and labelling rockets at the literacy area.
We have explored non-fiction books and are finding out lots of interesting facts about each of the planets in the solar system.
