  • Geography Fieldwork Day

    Today we have been learning about the geography of our local area! The children have been creating maps, investigating the environment and taking surveys of local residents too. We really enjoyed going to see the subway mural that we designed in Hunton Bridge for its Press Launch day as well. 

  • Languages Day

    Today we have been celebrating the different languages in our school community and others from around the world too. We invited parents in to share some of the languages they speak and some of the children spoke in other languages too. Take a look at the French curriculum page to see a video of us speaking in languages such as Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Greek and French!

  • Year 5 Woodrow Update!

    Year 5 are having a wonderful time at Woodrow High House learning many new skills. Today we have been building fires, cooking bread, firing arrows in archery, climbing high ropes (and getting Mr Gunning to climb high too) and much more! Most importantly we have been learning to trust each other, communicate better and work as a team. All of the staff at Woodrow have commented on the impeccable behaviour of our children who have been demonstrating our vision and values in everything they do. Well done Year 5!

  • RE Theme Day

    We had a wonderful day on Friday finding out all about Sikhism from Mr Singh, a Sikh and teacher who came to tell us all about his beliefs and practices. The children had lots of questions and produced some excellent work which will soon be on our school website for you to see!

  • Remembrance Day

    Last week we had a theme day to commemorate Remembrance Day. The children learnt all about the First World War and the significance of wearing a poppy to remember the sacrifice that so many people made. 

  • iSingPOP!

    We are incredibly proud of the hard work that all of the children at St Paul’s have put in over the past 6 weeks for our iSingPOP concert. The hard work certainly paid off as our local community were blown away by the inspirational singing and dancing. A huge thank you to iSingPOP and Sandy for inspiring the children and teaching us songs all about our vision and values. We are also very grateful to Mr Butcher for turning our concert into a video so that parents can watch and the children can treasure the moment forever. You will not be disappointed when you see it!

  • Local Art

    Year 5 and 6 have been working with a local artist today to design a new mural for the tunnel under a nearby railway bridge! Look out for it as it will be completed soon!

  • Walking on Water!

    It was so lovely to hear the children talking about our vision of ‘walk on water’ after lots of heavy rain this week!

  • Play Leader Training

    The Year 5 children have been busy learning how to become play leaders today. The School Sports Partnership have been in to lead their training.Year 5 have developed skills in teamwork, communication and organisation to allow them to create their own games that they can then teach children in Key Stage 1. The children were all excellent role models and demonstrated our aims of inspiring others, ensuring everyone feels like they belong and allowing everyone the opportunity to flourish.
