  • Summer Fair

Sun 09 Jun 2019 Miss Martindale
Thank you to everyone who came and donated their time or money to our Summer Fair. There was a huge variety of stalls and many prizes to be won. We were also treated to musical performances by the school choir and the Year 5 ukulele group. The Year 4 children performed maypole dancing and the Year 2's country dancing. It was a lovely day and the sun shone beautifully. We look forward to sharing with you how much money was raised and what we will be able to buy for the children as a result.
  • Spirited Arts Day

Fri 07 Jun 2019 Miss Martindale

We have had a lovely day combining spiritual thinking with art and poetry today. The children thought about one of three areas: Where is God? Questions, Questions or Windows on the Soul. They then used a variety of media to create a piece of artwork that reflected their thoughts. Have a look at some of the beautiful pieces of artwork. It will be a real challenge to select 10 pieces of work to send off to be entered into the NATRE Spirited Arts Competition.

We spent the afternoon writing poetry linked to our themes from the morning. Look on your class pages for some examples of the wonderful poems the children have written.

  • History Day

Sun 02 Jun 2019 Miss Martindale

The whole school had a wonderful end to the half term by learning all about our local history. We learnt about the history of the canal, the church and the village of Hunton Bridge. We were able to explore artefacts from Watford Museum that gave us some insight into life during Victorian times and during the second world war. We also spent some time researching our school houses: Loyd, Fisher, Grove and Cayzer. It was fantastic to find out who these people were and the impact they had on Langleybury. Come and see our history displays to find out more about these people and their lives.

  • Music Concert

Wed 22 May 2019 Miss Martindale
A huge thank you to everyone that attended our annual music concert this evening. All of the children performed remarkably; we are very fortunate to have such a wide range of musical talents at our school. Again, thank you to all of the peripatetic teachers who have taught the children to play their instruments and for supporting them at our event this evening.
