Welcome to Nursery!
Autumn 1
Welcome to the Nursery class page. We hope you had a wonderful summer. We are really excited about seeing the Nursery children who already belong to St Paul's and meeting the new children who are joining. We are looking forward to having lots of fun together!
Have a look on this page regularly to see what we will be learning about in the half term curriculum newsletter, to look at photographs of our experiences and to find out other important information related to the class.
This half term we will be focusing on settling into the daily routines and exploring our class environment. Our initial topic is called "All About Me". We will learn about ourselves, our bodies and our families. In Nursery we base our activities on the children's interests so other learning and activities will come about each week depending on what the children are excited about.
Here is a reminder about what is happening on the first day and full week back:
Thursday 3rd September
Children who are already in nursery begin back and follow their usual hours
New Nursery children come in for their 15 minute visit (time slot arranged at New to Nursery evening)
Friday 4th September
Children who are already in nursery follow their usual hours all week
New Nursery children Stay & Play session 9am - 11am (with one parent)
Monday 7th September
New Nursery children - morning session 9am - 11am
Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th September
New Nursery children - 9am until midday
Thursday 10th September
New Nursery children - 9am until midday or until 3pm if doing 30 hours
Also, if you would like to come in and read a story to the class at the end of the morning or end of the day, this would be a real treat for the children and it is a lovely way to share with them the joy of reading. Do let us know in the link book if you would like to do this and we can sort a date.
