Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely Christmas. We are really looking forward to this half term, with lots of exciting learning opportunities and meeting our new nursery friends.

Have a look on this page regularly to see what we will be learning about in the half termly curriculum newsletter and weekly bulletin, to look at photographs of our experiences and to find out other important information related to the class.  

This half term our topic is "Rhymes All Around". The children will learn traditional and lesser known nursery rhymes, using these to explore rhyming words. We will be making collages, salt dough creations and food related to the nursery rhymes. We will explore different aspects of the rhymes to learn more about the world around us. The children will get to know their new friends and will continue learning to find, select and explore resources around the nursery. They will learn to recognise their names and explore mark making and writing their names using different tools and mediums. In nursery we base our activities on the children's interests so other, perhaps different,  learning and activities will come about each week depending on what the children are excited about.

PE will be on a Monday and Show and Tell will be on a Tuesday this half term. Shared Reading will be on Tuesday 3rd February from 9 – 9.25am.

If you would like to come in and read a story to the class at the end of the morning or end of the day this would be a real treat for the children and it is another way to share with them the joy of reading. Do let us know in the link book if you would like to do this and we can sort a date.
