Autumn 2
Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely half term. We are really looking forward to this half term, with lots of exciting learning opportunities and of course the Christmas nativity!
Have a look on this page regularly to see what we will be learning about in the half termly curriculum newsletter and weekly bulletin, to look at photographs of our experiences and to find out other important information related to the class.
This half term our topic "Let's Celebrate!". We will look at celebrations and festivals including Bonfire Night, birthdays and Christmas. We will also be looking at the changes around us as we move into Winter. Keep an eye out on the weekly bulletins as you may be invited to a party at some point! In nursery we base our activities on the children's interests so other, perhaps different, learning and activities will come about each week depending on what the children are excited about.
Show and Tell will begin and this half term it will be on a Monday. Look at Autumn 1 week 7 weekly bulletin for more details.
We are also going to have a Shared Reading session each half term which is an opportunity for you to come in first thing in the morning and read a story or two with your child in the class. We will change the day each half term so that everyone has an opportunity to come. This half term Shared Reading will be on Monday 17th November from 9 – 9.25am.
Also, if you would like to come in and read a story to the class at the end of the morning or end of the day this would be a real treat for the children and it is another way to share with them the joy of reading. Do let us know in the link book if you would like to do this and we can sort a date.
