  • January Birthday Service

Fri 26 Jan 2018 Miss Martindale
The children enjoyed our first service of 2018 as we begin to think about discovering Jesus. Revered James showed and explained to us different ways that people are baptised and we reflected on how Jesus' baptism may have been different to our own!

  • The Birthday Gift Service

Tue 12 Dec 2017 Miss Martindale
For our final service of the term with Reverend James, the children learnt about the reasons why Jesus, as the light of the world, has a birthday celebrated every year by millions of people around the world. Every class made a gift for Jesus and wrapped it up before sharing it with the school. A variety of gifts were made from joy and love to a blanket and images from the Old Testament. We celebrated Jesus' birthday with cake and magic candles and sung by candle light to finish. The service was very moving and reflective at this busy and special time of year.

  • KS2 Carol Concert

Thu 07 Dec 2017 Miss Martindale
We were treated to a beautiful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas last night at St Paul's Church when Key Stage 2 led us in a wonderful carol concert. All of the children sung their hearts out and the atmosphere in the church was lovely. A special well done to all of the children that performed a solo, our Year 3 children for their excellent tableaux and of course Miss Cohen and Mrs Sands for their support.

  • Advent Market 2017

Mon 27 Nov 2017 Miss Heraty
The annual Advent Market took place on Sunday 26th November. The joint fundraising event with St Paul's Church was extremely well attended and a great success. The choir opened the market to huge applause, led by Miss Cohen and Jo on the piano. The advent market had many different stalls including Christmas Cones, bottle, teddy and chocolate tombola's, tea at the Ritz hosted by year 6 children, Santa's grotto, secret room, toasted marshmallows by the fire, face painting and karaoke! We also had many companies selling beautiful gifts. The afternoon was filled with the spirit of Christmas. A big thank you to the Friends of St Paul's for arranging this marvellous event and to the parental community of St Paul's school for your support in bringing items in for all the stalls and to the Church for organising all the beautiful food and other stalls we had.
  • Christmas Disco

Mon 20 Nov 2017 Miss Martindale
The children had a fantastic time at the disco on Friday. DJ Bradshaw was a hit as always! It was lovely to see so many children attend in lots of beautiful and smart outfits. A big thank you to the Friends for organising and to Mr Bradshaw for being a fantastic DJ again.
  • Children in Need

Fri 17 Nov 2017 Miss Martindale
Today the children have all brought in lots of coins to help us to fill Pudsey and Blush. We have succeeded to fill both pictures and managed to raise an incredible total of just over £287! Children in Need is an amazing charity and our donation will go a long way to helping the many lives their work supports every year.
